Rajalakshmi Nadadur Kannan

I am a historian and religion scholar, with a particular interest in women’s history.

I completed my PhD in 2014 at the University of Stirling (supervised by Tim Fitzgerald and Michael Marten), entitled Performing ‘religious’ music: interrogating Karnatic music within a postcolonial setting. I am currently preparing this for publication.

I am an Affiliated Researcher at the Centre for the Study of Religion and Culture in Asia (Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies) at University of Groningen, and am currently teaching at Assumption University in Bangkok.
